Creative writing competition for students

DIWA Learning Systems Inc. invites grade school and high school students who subscribe to the Scholastic Enhancement Materials (SEM) Kaluskos and Tambuli to join this year’s creative writing search Gawad Tambuli with theme “Aking Mithi, Isang bagong Pilipinas”.
Contestants will be asked to write a poem or short story in Filipino looking forward to a positive future in anticipation of the 2010 elections.
The competition is divided into two parts: The “Kaluskos Paligsahan sa Pagsulat ng Tula”, which is open to all subscribers of Kaluskos magazine, and the “Tambuli Paligsahan sa Pagsulat ng Maikling Kuwento” which is open to all subscribers of Tambuli magazine.
The creative works must not have been published before and must be submitted with a letter from the teacher or adviser certifying that the poem was written by the student. Entries should be submitted on or before Aug. 14 to Diwa Learning Systems, 4/F Sedeco 1 Bldg., 120 Thailand corner Legaspi Streets, Legaspi Village, Makati City.
